A note on Florida state law for aesthetic practices
Florida Statutes 459.0127 (SB 1768) addresses physician use of certain non-FDA-approved stem cell therapies in orthopedics, wound care, and pain management; as written, it is not framed around aesthetic or cosmetic use. If your practice believes a particular use might be covered, that is a question for your supervising physician and legal counsel, not something Precision Biologics determines.
Verifying a medspa account
Because Precision Biologics sells only to licensed clinics, physician-supervised medspas, and physicians, account verification for a medspa includes confirming the supervising physician and that physician's National Provider Identifier. Dermatology and plastic surgery practices verify directly under the treating physician's NPI.
Documentation and ingredient disclosure
Aesthetic practices commonly request the certificate of analysis, donor eligibility summary, and lot release record for Wharton's jelly lots, and full ingredient disclosure for exosome products, before adding either category to their practice.
None of this documentation makes a claim about what a product does for a specific condition; it describes sourcing, testing, and composition so your practice can complete its own evaluation.
Receiving shipments and getting set up
Cryopreserved products arrive overnight on dry ice in validated containers for storage at -80 degrees Celsius; smaller-volume aesthetic orders follow the same cold chain as larger orders. We recommend logging lot numbers on arrival regardless of order size.
To get started, Precision Biologics handles NPI and physician verification and documentation delivery, and offers peer-to-peer calls about paperwork. Confirm your practice's regulatory posture with the Florida medical board and your own counsel before adding a new product category.
FDA has stated there are no FDA-approved exosome products. Exosome products are generally regulated as biologic drugs under section 351 of the Public Health Service Act, not as 361 HCT/Ps. Purchase and clinical use decisions belong to the physician with their own regulatory counsel.
These products are not FDA approved or licensed for any disease or condition. Information is for licensed healthcare professionals and is not medical or legal advice.
Frequently asked questions
Does Florida's stem cell statute cover medspa or cosmetic use?+
Florida Statutes 459.0127 (SB 1768) is framed around orthopedics, wound care, and pain management, not aesthetic use. Confirm with your supervising physician and counsel whether it has any bearing on your practice.
Can our medspa open an account if our medical director is not the one placing orders?+
Yes. Account verification confirms the supervising physician's National Provider Identifier; a separate staff member can be designated to manage day-to-day ordering under that verified account.
Is full ingredient information available before we commit to an exosome product?+
Full ingredient disclosure is provided to verified accounts on request, alongside the certificate of analysis and donor eligibility summary for the specific lot.
