Looking for a Stem Cell Supplier? Here's What Licensed Clinics Should Know First

Many clinics that search for a stem cell supplier are actually trying to source perinatal tissue allografts or extracellular vesicle products for use in their practice. Precision Biologics is a master distributor of these two categories. We do not market, label, or sell stem cell therapies, and the products described on this site are not represented as containing viable, functional stem cells.

What 'Stem Cell Supplier' Usually Means in Practice

The phrase gets used loosely across the industry. In practice, most companies that come up under this search term distribute two different categories of material: Wharton's jelly tissue allografts recovered from donated umbilical cord tissue, and extracellular vesicle (exosome) preparations derived from cell culture. Neither category is the same as a live stem cell product.

Understanding which category you actually need, and what documentation accompanies it, matters more than the search term that brought you here.

Why We Don't Call Our Tissue Products Stem Cell Products

Published evaluations of commercial umbilical cord tissue allografts have reported low total cell counts and limited viability, with only rare viable mesenchymal stromal cells recovered, and at least one independent study found no colony-forming stromal cells across the cord products it tested. On that basis, describing an off-the-shelf cord tissue allograft as a stem cell product is not something the documentation supports.

Mesenchymal stromal cells are defined by specific laboratory criteria, including plastic adherence, a defined surface marker profile, and demonstrated tri-lineage differentiation. We do not make that claim for the Wharton's jelly products we distribute.

What We Distribute Instead

Our catalog covers two families of perinatal-derived biologics: Wharton's jelly (umbilical cord matrix) allografts, offered in cryopreserved and lyophilized formats, and cord blood or umbilical cord-derived extracellular vesicle (exosome) products, offered in liquid and lyophilized formats.

Specifications, format options, and lot documentation vary by product and are detailed on each product page.

  • Wharton's jelly allografts: Bio PRP Jelly, Bio Flex, Bio Flow, Bio DPM
  • Extracellular vesicle (exosome) products: Bio Xsomes, Bio EX, Bio AER, Bio AER Plus

How to Evaluate a Supplier Before You Order

Ask for a certificate of analysis for the specific lot, a donor eligibility summary, and a lot release record before placing an order. Confirm how the supplier describes its regulatory posture, and do not rely on marketing language in place of documentation.

Account verification on our side requires a National Provider Identifier (NPI) number, consistent with our policy of selling only to licensed clinics, medspas operating under physician supervision, and physicians.

These products are not FDA approved or licensed for any disease or condition. Information on this page is for licensed healthcare professionals and is not medical or legal advice.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Do you sell stem cell therapy?+

No. We distribute Wharton's jelly tissue allografts and extracellular vesicle (exosome) products. We do not represent these as stem cell therapies, and documentation for commercial cord tissue allografts generally does not support stem cell claims.

Can patients order directly from Precision Biologics?+

No. Accounts are limited to licensed clinics, medspas operating under physician supervision, and physicians, verified by NPI number.

What documentation can I request before buying?+

You can request a certificate of analysis, a donor eligibility summary, and a lot release record for the specific lot you are considering.

Are any of your products FDA approved?+

No product on this site is FDA approved, cleared, or licensed. Wharton's jelly products are offered under the supplier's HCT/P framework; whether a specific intended use qualifies under the relevant federal criteria is a determination for your clinic and its counsel.
